Unlike Blink's previous cameras, the Blink Mini is wired, so users don't need to think about changing batteries. Users can pair it with an Alexa-enabled device, like the Echo Show smart speaker, to see a live feed of the camera's field of view, and to arm or disarm the camera.
For video clip storage, Blink includes a trial of the Blink Plus cloud video storage service, which will run until the end of 2020. $3 per month, or $30 per year, to maintain a subscription. This is a shift from Blink, which has not historically charged for cloud storage of video.
